How to Install Kodi 17 Xenon Build (Clean or XXX version) Using Ares Wizard / Diggz Builds

This guide (updated Saturday June 24, 2017) shows you how to install Kodi Xenon Build.  Kodi Xenon Build is an amazing collection of TVAddons combined with a fast, smooth user interface.

Xenon Build features several of the best Kodi addons.  It also uses the Confluence skin, which Kodi 16 users will find familiar.

The Xenon Build for Kodi (the “clean” version) is a 324.16MB download that contains over 22000 files.  Once you’ve installed and launched the Ares Wizard, use the Ares Wizard menu to download and install Xenon Build on Firestick or any Kodi “player”.

Scroll down to see the entire Diggz Fire Xenon Build for Kodi v17 Krypton process, from A to Z, step-by-step:

Difficulty of Install:  Beginner

Time to Complete:  10 minutes (+ 2 to 10 mins download time, depending on your Internet speed)

Time-to-Streaming:  2 minutes

What is Time-to-Streaming? A measurement we made up to measure how long it takes to start streaming a movie or TV show after a Kodi build or TVaddon is launched for the first time.

Best Features of Xenon Build:  Works great on Firestick, Raspberry Pi & Fire TV, is fast & reliable, has tons of great menu items to choose from, and has a 1-click watch feature for movies on the homescreen!

How Cool is Xenon Build?  Cooler than Config Wizard.  Same coolness level as No Limits Build (no, wait.. cooler. Because it’s so light-weight, simple, and generally amazing).

Tested Successfully On:  Raspberry Pi 3 running LibreELEC, Android Fire TV Box.  Also tested on Amazon Firestick by a user on the KFireTV Facebook page.

How to Install Xenon Build in Kodi 17

  1. From the Kodi homescreen, press the System icon (the Gear icon in the top left corner).
  2. Then select System Settings.  Now select “Add-Ons” from the left side of the System Settings menu.
  3. Now turn on “Unknown Sources” – then press “Yes” to confirm your selection.
  4. Go back to the Kodi home screen.  Then go to the System menu once again (the Gear icon).
  5. Now select File Manager
  6. Then choose “Add source
  7. Now select the box that says “None“.
  8. Then enter the address http://repo.ares-project.com/magic/
  9. Now press OK
  10. Select the box that says Enter a name for this media source
  11. At this point, you can either leave the default name (“magic”) or change it to anything you’d like.  When you’re done with the name, press OK.
  12. Select OK again to finish adding the new source.
  13. Now go back to the Kodi home screen
  14. Select “Add-Ons
  15. Then select the Package Installer icon (which is an icon in the top left corner of the “Add-Ons” screen that looks like a Package!)
  16. Now select “Install From Zip File
  17. Choose the new source you added (“magic”)
  18. Then select the folder you see (named something similar to “ares-repository“)
  19. Now select the file you see (named something similar to “ares-repository.zip“)
  20. Wait a few minutes for the Ares Repository to install.  Your Firestick (or other Kodi device) may seem hung-up during this part – but just wait.  It should be good to go after a few minutes and display an “Ares Wizard Repository enabled” notification.
  21. Now select “Install From Repository“.
  22. Then choose “Ares Wizard
  23. Now select “Program add-ons
  24. Select “Ares Wizard
  25. Now wait a few minutes for the actual Ares Wizard to install.
  26. Return to the Kodi home screen.  Once you see the Ares Wizard icon on the Kodi 17 home screen, select the icon to launch Ares Wizard.
  27. Wait a minute or two for Ares Wizard to launch.  You’ll know when the Ares Wizard launches because it has a unique home screen with several different buttons, a completely different background than the normal Kodi background, and says in big letters at the top of the screen “Ares Wizard”.
  28. After Ares Wizard has launched, select “All Builds“.
  29. Then choose “Diggz Builds
  30. Now select “Xenon Clean” (or Xenon XXX – for adults only)
  31. Press “Install” on the right side of the screen.
  32. Then wait for Kodi to download Xenon Clean Build onto your Firestick, Raspberry Pi, or other Kodi device.  The download is roughly 300MB, FYI.
  33. When Xenon Build is done installing, Kodi displays a few popup windows, such as “Would you like to keep the skin settings?” – you may answer “No” to this.  Also, Kodi will ask if you’d like to subscribe – you may answer “No” (although answering “Yes” helps support Ares Wizard!).  Finally, you will see a notification that says something like “Install Complete.  Force reboot?“.  Press “OK” when you see this to restart Kodi in Xenon Clean Build mode!
  34. When Kodi restarts, you should see an entirely different homescreen, with a different background, different icons, and all new stuff from the Xenon Build.  Enjoy using the Xenon Build for Kodi 17 Krypton!
